Stanton County has a variety of recreational
activities. Golfing, swimming, hiking and fishing. Winter, summer,

Maskenthine Lake
Maskenthine Lake is a state recreation area located just two
miles north of Stanton, NE. Visitors to the recreational area
can enjoy the arboretum, picnic shelters, biking paths, swimming
beach and year round fishing.
Elkhorn Acres Golf Course
Define your game at Elkhorn Acres Golf Course a beautiful 9 hole
course just a mile southeast of Stanton Nebraska.
Stanton Community Pool
The Municipal Swimming Pool, constructed in 1975-76, has a 304
person capacity. The pool has a surface area of 5,380 square
feet and has a 215,800 gallon water capacity. Twelve seasonal
workers/lifeguards are employed at the pool and operate on
a $37,000 annual budget.
Stanton Community Parks
West City Park and East City Park are larger in size while Raabe/Triangle
Park and the park in the Maplewood Addition are small. West
Park has two picnic shelters, various playground equipment,
including new climbing and slide equipment, a fenced-in sand
box, and a basketball court. East City Park has two lighted
tennis/basketball courts (built in 1975-76), a swimming pool,
picnic tables on concrete pads, playground equipment, and a
sand volleyball court.
Stanton Historical Society
The Historical Society was organized on June 22, 1965 and is
a 501(C3) tax exempt organization funded by contributions,
grants and memberships. All operations are carried out by volunteers,
who are dedicated to preserving the history and heritage of
Stanton County, Nebraska.
